Q: How long has the product been in the market?
A: Our technology has been undergoing trials since 2004 and because of its outstanding success it is now available for distribution to the commercial market. The Biotechnix Fuel System (BFS) was launched in the Australian market in 2009 and is now available internationally. In 2012, it was ranked in the top 10 most innovative products in Australia.

Q: What scientific evidence supports this device?
A: The system has been scientifically proven and tested thoroughly in Australian and International projects. We have several low/no risk mechanisms in place to allow customers to become comfortable with the devices and their associated savings. Please contact us to establish a project of your own to determine the savings your business can make.
INSTALLATION, WARRANTY AND SERVICING:
A: We recommend all fuel systems are installed by a certified auto electrician. Fitting instructions are provided with every system supplied. Installation is extremely straightforward and should take no more than 30 minutes.
Q: What sort of fuel saving can I expect?
A: Fuel saving will vary depending on the work profile of your vehicle; for example vehicles that operate under heavy load tend to yield the highest percentage saving (typically 6%-9%). At its most conservative, some of our customers save a consistent 3% on their fuel costs which translates into hundreds of thousands of dollars saving across their fleets (particularly in heavy haulage situations).
Q: Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?
A: Yes. Biotechnix’s charter is to achieve the maximum potential of every fitted system. We work with every customer to ensure that you are satisfied with the fuel saving performance of the system prior to invoicing.
Q: Does the device void my warranty/insurance?
A: The installation process is completely non-invasive and does not cut into or interface with the fuel line or engine management system. The BFS only requires between 12 and 24V to operate making it no more able to void a warranty than a set of driving lights.
A: No. The increased torque is a result of the higher fuel efficiency and as a consequence, the engine is able to do less work to achieve the same result.
Q: How does the BFS work?
A: The Biotechnix Fuel System enables a more efficient and fractionally faster combustion of fuel. This means that more of the fuel burns prior to it being expelled thereby increasing engine power and torque and reducing emissions.
Q: What if the BFS units ever stop working?
A: Biotechnix has a detailed review process that will quickly identify any faulty units which will be repaired or replaced within the 2 year warranty period. The light indicators on the system will assist in establishing whether the BFS is functioning as intended.
Q: How do I know if I’m saving on fuel?
A: Upon initial purchase of BFS units for each new customer, Biotechnix works with the customer to monitor fuel consumption to determine the appropriateness of this product in generating fuel or emissions savings. In simplistic terms the odometer and fuel quantity is recorded/captured at each vehicle fill up prior to and after the fitting of the BFS.
Q: Does it reduce emissions? – If so, what percent should I expect?
A: Reduced fuel consumption means reduced exhaust emissions. For example if you reduce your fuel consumption by 5% then there is a corresponding 5% primary reduction in exhaust emissions. So in real terms a 5% saving for a typical customer may equate to 500L fuel saving per month per vehicle which at 2.695kg of CO2 per litre would give this company a reduced carbon footprint of 16.2 tonnes per year per vehicle. In addition, our initial DT-80 vehicle emissions testing indicates a significant improvement on smoke opacity.
Q: My drivers report increased performance/torque but I am not getting any fuel savings. What could be the cause?
A: The initial indication of the system working is increased torque. Increase in fuel savings can take up to 3 months to reach maximum savings. Some customers report an initial increase in torque without fuel savings, but then find that fuel savings became evident soon after.

A: Government initiatives are constantly changing so we advise you to contact the proper agencies that financially support pollution reduction and fuel saving initiatives. Currently the Australian government is in the process of implementing the Emissions Reduction Fund for which this device will be applicable for some companies looking to participate in this Fund.
